Rejoice horror fans because vampires are about to be terrifying again

The FX Network has really surpassed my expectations with American Horror Story: Coven, and now, I have finally watched the first official trailer for Guillermo del Toro's The Strain. I've talked about this show before HERE. Even though there's really not much to see in this video, I am excited. Vampires are about to be vampires again, and that means "TERRIFYING!"

  5. That is exciting. I bought the book ages ago, but it's still in my TBR pile, so I better get onto it.

Mind you... Mr Del Toro could fart on a piece of celluloid and I'd love it!

  6. I much prefer my vampires as villains. I haven't heard about this show but FX has Justified so I'll give their other stuff a chance.

  9. Like a few others here, I've got the book, the first two actually, sitting here on my desk. Haven't cracked them open though. I guess I'd better get to it before the show starts.

  10. Will have to be something pretty special to make me watch. Nothing in the trailer to tempt me so far, but you never know.

  12. I second Angeline. I [mostly] trust del Toro to take me to all the places I want to be. Love me some vampires, so yay!

  13. Wow, you love your vampires! Maybe I'll check out the show, but right now the most paranormal I get is with Grimm and Sleepy Hollow -- and Sleepy mostly because Ichabod is gorgeous.

  15. Somebody should really make a vampire timeline. It seems like they go through these cycles. From horror to romance and back again. It seems like the horror is about ready to come back around.

I am not even going to click that link lest I can't sleep tonight. I'll take you word for it about the terrifying part.

  17. FX has some terrific shows. I couldn't tell anything by this video (which is what you stated in your post). I also see from comments that this is a book that I haven't heard of before.
